Kenya abolished traditional visas and moved to an eTA system that applies to virtually all international visitors. So although Vanuatu nationals do not need a conventional visa, they do need to register for the Kenyan eTA online before travelling — apply a few days ahead to be safe.

Kenya is East Africa's main travel, safari and business gateway, so straightforward access (an online eTA rather than a consular visa) is a real convenience for a Vanuatu passport holder.

The eTA is not a visa but a mandatory pre-travel authorisation; airlines check it at boarding. Have your accommodation and return-ticket details ready when you apply, and keep the approval (by email) accessible on arrival.
