The Maldives issues a free 30-day visa on arrival to all travellers who have a confirmed booking and onward ticket, so for Vanuatu nationals it is effectively open access to one of the world's top resort destinations. The main formality is the online Traveller Declaration (IMUGA), which must be submitted within 96 hours before arrival.
The 30-day stay can be extended in-country, and a confirmed resort or hotel reservation is essential — immigration will ask for it.
