Sri Lanka uses an ETA system for tourists: Vanuatu nationals apply online before travel, receive electronic approval, and have it checked on arrival. The tourist ETA typically allows a 30-day stay with double entry, and can be extended in-country for longer trips.
Apply only through the official ETA portal (beware look-alike sites), and keep the approval accessible. Sri Lanka's beaches, tea country and cultural triangle make it a popular, easy-access destination on the Vanuatu passport.
Fees and the exact ETA conditions change periodically (Sri Lanka has at times waived or revised the tourist ETA fee), so check the current rules on the official portal before paying. Extensions of the 30-day stay are handled by the Department of Immigration in Colombo.
