Vanuatu citizenship is priced per family, not just per person — so the more dependents you add, the higher the government contribution, but the per-head cost falls sharply. Below is the exact 2026 cost by family profile under the Development Support Program (DSP), the most popular route.
| Applicant profile | Government contribution | All-in cost from |
|---|---|---|
| Single applicant | $130,000 | $135,500 |
| Couple (main + spouse) | $150,000 | from $155,500 |
| Family of 3 (+1 child) | $165,000 | from $170,500 |
| Family of 4 (2 parents + 2 children) | $180,000 | $186,000 |
| Family of 5 | $195,000 | from $201,500 |
| Family of 6 | $210,000 | from $217,000 |
Figures are the official DSP government contribution plus due-diligence & processing fees, verified 29 June 2026. Due-diligence fees rise with each dependent, so family totals are shown as "from". Each additional dependent beyond six adds $15,000 to the contribution. Source: Vanuatu Citizenship Office fee schedule. For an exact, itemised quote for your family, request a free breakdown.
The all-in figure covers the non-refundable government contribution (the investment itself), due-diligence/background-check fees for every applicant aged 18+, and standard processing, certificate and biometric fees. There is no property purchase and no residency requirement — the whole family is processed remotely, typically in about two months.
Instead of the DSP donation, the CIIP route uses a $100,000 contribution that covers a family of up to four, plus a $50,000 refundable pledge and due-diligence fees. It can work out cheaper for a family of four, but ties up the refundable pledge — we compare both routes for your exact family before you commit.
A main applicant can add a spouse, dependent children, and dependent parents or grandparents, subject to the age and dependency rules in force. Each applicant is added to the contribution tier above and completes due diligence. We confirm exact eligibility — including for parents and adult children — before you apply.
